Pumpkin Bread

This bread is a favorite of everyone, even picky eaters like Carlen and Caleb. It works well with any dinner, as a snack, or holiday gift to friends

Ingredients:
4 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
5 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. pumpkin
1 1/2 c. oil


Directions:

  • Cream together the sugar and eggs in a large mixer
  • Mix together all other ingredients in a Bosch/Kitchen Aide (can mix dry ingredients together first)
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour & 10 minutes
  • Makes 3 large loafs

  1. I usually make this into 4 loaves that are 8x4. I like to cream the eggs and sugar for a few seconds before adding the rest of the ingredients.
